i bought this adapter for my laptop after the original plug got damaged in a drop. after about a week my laptop was acting funny and not working as well. i atributed it the to the fall until the power cord broke after a month of infrequent use. by broke i mean the metal plug came out in the laptop when i went to unplug it. not wanting to shell out [...] bucks for a hp cord i got another one. this one actually set on fire… no i’m not joking, after being plugged in charging for a day i hear a pop and look over and the power cord has a small fire on it… after that i shelled out for an official hp cord and now my computer works better than it has in months… i cannot stress this enough do not buy this poorly made dangerous peice of crap power cable.
