Customer Review: Not sturdy enough - Warranty not much value
Out of the box, this power supply looked great. But after a few months of moderate use, the unit broke and would no longer work. I thought, well, it’s under warranty. However, in order to activate the warranty, you need to send $17 shipping and handling (along with the power supply)to Accessory Power. If they find that the malfunction is covered by the warranty, then they send you a new one. If they decide that it’s not, they send you the original one back and you’re out $17. In the long-run (unless you are a very light user), I think it’s more cost effective to go with a genuine HP unit.

Customer Review: I’t doesn’t work!!
Same happen to me. They say is for HP Pavilion ZV5000, and it does not fit into the computer…
Customer Review: Not as decribed - does NOT work with HP pavillion series laptops
This AC adapter does NOT work with HP ZV5000 pavillion series laptops. The end that plugs into the computer is not the right size, and it does not fit into the computer. It is useless for HP laptops, so please be aware of that if that is your intended use.

Also, I do not have a compaq laptop, but owners of them should be wary of buying this product. Buy Now
